ABMEC announces new Chairman of Finance Committee

The Association of British Mining Equipment Companies (ABMEC) is pleased to announce that Patrick Brian of Trolex Ltd has accepted the role of Chairman of the Finance Committee.

The Chairman’s post has no fixed term, and Pat replaces Raj Gopal of Fenner Dunlop Engineered Conveyor Solutions, who has now moved to the US to continue his career with the Fenner.

Pat spent over 20 years running various global business units for the FTSE 100 metals and chemicals company, Johnson Matthey before taking responsibility for the Powerscreen brand of crushing and screening equipment for US giant Terex.

In 2012 he joined Trolex and is Managing Director of business which is focussed on the global mining, heavy industry and rail segments.

He is a strong supporter of the value that organisations like ABMEC can add to its members, and has been pleased to be opted onto the Council and more recently to take on the role of Chairman of the Finance Committee.

Pat is married to Rachel and they have three children, aged 17, 11 and two, so his hobbies and interests revolve around family life when he’s not travelling the globe.
