ABMEC returns to Ukraine after a five year absence
ABMEC (the Association of British Mining Equipment Companies) is pleased to announce its participation at MiningWorld Ukraine 2016 to be held on 12 – 14 October at the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The exhibition will demonstrate the latest developments from Ukrainian and international producers of crushing, sorting, and digging equipment, solutions for transporting and storing bulk materials, spare parts and accessories for mining machinery, haul trucks, mineral processing equipment and additives, tunnelling equipment and technologies and means for safe mining operations.
The Ukraine contains 5% of world’s mineral resources and its US$7.2 trillion market value potential is the 7th largest in world. There are 20,000 identified deposits and 7,800 developed projects (3,300 at the exploration stage). Resources include 33.8 billion tonnes of coal (4% of the world’s deposit); 6.5 billion tonnes of iron ore; and 96 million troy oz of gold. The country produces 82 Mtpa of iron ore (6th in world); 20 Mtpa coking coal (8th in world); and 6.2 Mtpa of salt (11th in world).
The ABMEC delegation will include member companies: Davis Derby, manufacturers of mine automation, monitoring, communications and control equipment; Fenner Dunlop, producers of fire resistant solid-woven conveyor belting; PBE, provider of communication and safety solutions; and Trolex, a market leader in hazardous area safety and control systems.
